"We came here and was mighty impressed. Warmly wecomed by staff. Great menu choice. We had their speciality schnitzel. 2 different dishes and they were lovely. Mine had horseradish and was gorgeous. Also had potato salad, soup and pretzel. Great potion sizes. The wheat beer was fantastic. Nice buzzy atmosphere. There is a bar area if you just want a drink. Everything we had we thoroughly enjoyed. Fairly priced food and drink. Would we go again ? Most definately. Highly recommended. Best to book for the evening as it is extremely popular."

"What can I say, a massive restaurant! The drink was a 1L beer, when in Rome and all that, delicious. Food likewise was delicious I had a chicken schnitzel burger and it was to die for! I would definitely recommend eating here. There was a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant with plenty of people."

"Cozy German restaurant with a classic beer-hall vibe. Good selection of traditional dishes (sausages, hearty mains) and they serve Augustiner, which is a big plus. Portions are filling and the atmosphere is warm—great for an evening with friends. Service was friendly, though it can be a bit slow when it’s busy. Overall, a solid spot for Bavarian-style comfort food and beer"

"A must-visit for Schnitzel lovers in Düsseldorf!I had an incredible meal at HeimWerk in Düsseldorf. Their concept is perfect for trying high-quality, sustainably sourced German comfort food with a fresh and modern twist. If you're on a first or private date and are only a couple of people (w/o reservation) then this might not be your place as they do sit you at the same table with another couple. Totally fine that is unless you are planning on a private meal together. Pea Soup: An excellent starter! It was incredibly creamy, rich in flavor, and made from fine peas. The Schnitzel: Perfectly golden, beautifully breaded, and exceptionally crispy without feeling heavy or oily. Potato salad (Kartoffelsalat) with fresh herbs and radish was light and tangy, offering a great contrast. Käsespätzle—made with rich mountain cheese and piled high with crispy roasted onions—was absolutely delicious. The menu is super flexible, offering unique choices like Schnitzel-Burgers alongside classics like Spinach Knödel. I love that they strictly use meat from species-appropriate livestock farming and avoid artificial additives. The restaurant has a great, lively atmosphere, and the staff was quick and welcoming. Just can be a rather long wait when it's busy. Highly recommended!"

"Had my first day in Dusseldorf yesterday, and already had a blast! Knew I had to go and try some schnitzel and lager, and I’m so glad I stopped in HeimWerk! Natascha was super friendly and helpful, and helped make my first schnitzel experience a true joy! Delicious food, warm atmosphere, welcoming staff!"

"We had lunch at HeimWerk Mitte today, and we had dinner here yesterday as well. Both visits were excellent. The pumpkin seed chicken schnitzel we had yesterday was delicious, and today’s beef schnitzel burger was equally impressive. The food was flavorful, fresh, and very satisfying. The service was friendly and professional, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and welcoming. Its location is very central, and sitting outside allowed us to truly enjoy the vibe of the city. A place we were happy to return to — and one we would gladly visit again. Highly recommended."
